Congratulations, Stanford Conference Winners!

Congratulations to the Albany High School students who won awards and commendations at last weekend's 2013 Stanford Model United Nations Conference!  Jeffrey Shi, portraying the South Korean Minister of Security and Public Administration, won a Research and Writing award in the Korean Peninsula Crisis Simulation, while Aaron Tiedemann, portraying Jacques-Louis David, won an Honorable Mention award in the French Revolution Simulation.  Three AHS students won verbal commendations at the Conference: Lucas Kampman, representing Iran in the UN General Assembly's Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC); Regina Park, representing Russia in DISEC; and Christian Scalice, representing Choe Thae-bok of North Korea in the Korean Peninsula Crisis Simulation.

A big thank you once again goes to Susan Bush for volunteering to help chaperone our weekend at Stanford, and to all of the AHS students who attended the Conference for preparing so diligently for the Conference, and for helping to make the weekend run so smoothly.
